How did Fontys Hub come about?

How can we share stories and information within Fontys, in one central and convenient spot? That question gave rise to this platform. On Fontys Hub you will find beautiful and inspiring stories from colleagues, plus all kinds of information which contributes to your own growth and that of Fontys as an organisation.

Moreover, Fontys Hub lists all development opportunities that Fontys offers its employees. From workshops to courses and from instructive podcasts to webinars. On this 'Develop yourself-page' you can also take a test to find out which professional role suits you and what your development opportunities are.

Platform set-up

The multi-year vision Fontys for Society is the guiding principle of Fontys Hub. In it, the organization expresses where it wants to be in 2025: optimally talent-oriented, agile and inquiring. In addition, Fontys wishes to embed the themes of sustainability, vitality, accessibility and inclusion in its DNA.

How does Fontys realize this, who are the pioneers and what can you do yourself? Fontys Hub informs you about this. On the main page you will find a few new 'highlighted' articles every week. The best stories of the week. An agenda, a carrousel with news items and a series of the latest courses/training programmes offered by Fontys complete the page.

Are you looking for more in-depth themes? Would you like to know everything about sustainability, how the organization is developing or, for example, whether you can contribute to practice-oriented research? Then click on one of the theme pages in the menu at the top of the page. Here you will find the figureheads of a particular theme. Who are the pioneers or trailblazers at Fontys, but also: what projects are already running and which networks are there?

Who make this platform?

To keep this platform alive and up to date and to ensure quality, Fontys Hub has an active editorial team. The editorial team is formed by a small network of communication advisors. They pick up what is going on from the individual programmes and projects. The chief editor and final editor coordinate the input and monitor the quality.

We are deliberately introducing ourselves to you because we like to receive feedback and input for our platform. Do you have great examples or other good ideas for Fontys-wide stories that about the aforementioned themes? If so, please contact one of the editors. You can also send an email directly to hub@fontys.nl.

Is your project missing from the overview on the theme pages? Please pass this on to our editors. Fontys Hub wants to be interactive, likes to receive reactions to articles and is open to all good ideas from the Fontys community.

Further development

The launch, the first stories ... it's the beginning, but we certainly want to continue developing. For example, more choices and to be able to create your own page and an English version of Fontys Hub. That will come later. For now: have fun! What does the team look like? A team of communication staff and consultants from different departments and programs of Fontys meets every Monday in an editorial meeting to discuss which beautiful, interesting and necessary stories and articles should be shared on Fontys Hub.
